Scout Technologies (“Scout,” “we,” “us”) rents solar-powered mobile security trailers to businesses across the western United States. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect when you ask us about a rental, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect the information you choose to give us when you request a quote or contact us, including through:

• the quote form on this website;
• Facebook and Instagram lead ads (lead forms run through Meta);
• email or phone conversations with our team.

This information may include your:

• name;
• phone number;
• email address;
• company name;
• site type and site location (for example, the city and state of your jobsite or lot);
• timeline for when you need a trailer; and
• any other details you include in your message, such as the number of trailers or rental length.

Like most websites, our site and hosting providers may also automatically receive basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you view.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

• respond to your quote request and answer your questions;
• prepare quotes and arrange trailer delivery, setup and pickup;
• communicate with you about your rental and our service; and
• understand how well our website and ads are working so we can improve them.

We don’t sell your personal information

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

When we share information

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed for them to do that work. Examples include:

• Meta (Facebook and Instagram), which hosts our lead ad forms and provides advertising tools;
• our email provider, which we use to receive and reply to your messages; and
• our website hosting provider.

We may also disclose information if we believe we are required to by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Scout, our customers or others.

Cookies and the Meta Pixel

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel, to measure how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform (for example, to count how many people who saw an ad later visited our site or requested a quote). When used, the Meta Pixel lets Meta receive information about your visit, such as the pages you view and actions you take on our site. Meta’s use of that information is covered by Meta’s own privacy policy.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage ad preferences in your Facebook and Instagram account settings.

How long we keep information

We keep your information for as long as we need it to respond to you, provide and support our rental service, and keep reasonable business records. When we no longer need it, we delete it or keep it in a form that no longer identifies you.

Your choices: access and deletion

You can ask us to show you the personal information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. To make a request, email sales@scoutechnologies.io. We may need to confirm your identity before completing your request. You can also ask us at any time to stop contacting you.

Keeping information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our website and services are meant for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above.
